Do I need an account to report something?
No. Anyone can file a report — it takes about two minutes and helps the FHNA volunteer safety committee track concerns and check camera footage.
Can I report without giving my name?
Yes. Tick "Report anonymously" on the form and no name, email, or phone number is collected — the committee sees only the incident itself. Anonymous reports get exactly the same attention.
Who sees my report?
Only Federal Hill's volunteer safety committee. Reports are never published, and each neighborhood's reports stay within that neighborhood. If you share contact details, they're used only to follow up about your report.
What happens after I submit?
The committee is notified right away and typically reviews new reports within 48 hours. If a community camera may have captured something relevant, they work to retrieve the footage. You’ll get a reference number to quote if you follow up.
Where are the cameras?
Cameras cover public areas — streets, intersections, and corridors — positioned for neighborhood safety, not to look into private property.
Who can get camera footage?
Footage is only shared with authorized parties — typically police investigating an incident with a filed report. It is not published or handed out on request.
Is this a replacement for calling the police?
No. For emergencies call 911; for non-emergencies call 311. Reporting here is in addition to police — it helps the neighborhood spot patterns and preserve camera footage before it’s overwritten.
